Mercury Free Mining (MFM), is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to eradicate mercury from gold mining for the health of our world. Founded in 2019, MFM has been rallying widespread support within the jewelry industry. These members are helping provide nearly 20 million artisanal and small-scale gold miners (ASGM) with efficient and non-toxic mercury-alternative processing, and launching a first-of-its-kind sustainability-rated, mercury-free gold supply chain.
